Mil toxic comments

I (24) was in kitchen with husband’s(25) family. We were just eating. My husband comes home with a teddy bear, flowers, and a chocolate rose. He says happy Valentine’s Day and gives me the gift. My mother in law then says “what about me” she says “I was here before her”. I don’t say anything. I just ignore her. My husband then takes the chocolate rose he gave me and gives it to her, even after he gave it to me first. It’s not about the money. I did get upset she took away from what was supposed to be a sweet moment with my husband. I felt as if it meant something and she made her comments, he took the gift without asking and handed it to her instead, it took away from the moment. I then explained how I felt, he apologized bought me more candy and ate it. If he had gave her a gift that was not mine it would be great but it wasn’t the case. I feel bad and I’ve been holding it in because maybe I’m overreacting?? I feel as if he shattered my heart
