Fred the Head
Fred the Head (a undignified name if you ask me) is the name given to a white male whose skull was discovered in a shallow grave in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, England in 1971.
The name was given due to the fact that only the head was discovered by an off duty officer walking his dog, while the rest of his body was never found. It is strongly suspected that he was murdered, and multiple recreations were made as to how Fred the Head possibly looked - it was established that he was 23-39 years old, white and 172 cm tall.
He also rad wry neck, upper dentures, pronounced chin, was thin, had small hands and short black or brown hair. The only things that were found with Fred were a yellow sock and a gold wedding ring which was made in a limited amount - only 5.000.
He is still unidentified 54 years later and no one can forward with any information about him, while the most recent appeal that was made was in 2021, but to no avail.
