Ok so this happened last night & my friends are acting like im a total bitch but idk i dont think i did anything wrong so here we go

i (20f) went out w my girls to this party at some guys penthouse, music was good, drinks were good, just overall a fun night. we were dancing, laughing, just vibing and i wasnt even thinking about guys or anything like that just enjoying myself.

then theres this guy. lets call him J (idk his real name, never cared to ask). he was eyeing me hard from the second i walked in. not even trying to hide it, every time i glanced over he was already looking. kinda smirking n shit. whatever, not my problem.

eventually he comes up & starts talking to me, the usual oh whats ur name who do u know here blah blah. he was smooth ig & we started bantering a little, he was cocky but like funny with it, and i was matching his energy throwing it back. it was fun until he just KILLED IT.

i made some joke abt him thinking hes the hottest guy in the room and this man goes “i mean, aren’t i? be honest”

like, i actually laughed in his face. i was like “oh ur serious? thats cute”

his whole face changed lmao like he was tryna keep cool but u could tell his ego took a hit. he goes “damn so what im not ur type?” and i just shrugged and went “ehh” and took a sip of my drink.

BRO. the way this man switched up. he went from smooth talker to desperate show off mode in an isntan

suddenly hes ordering bottles (??? this is not a club why are u doing this), making a big deal abt getting the “expensive” liquor, tryna hand out shots to random ppl. then he starts literally pulling out his wallet handing ppl money, paying for shit that literally no one asked for. and every single time he makes sure i SEE IT(again we're at a penthouse not a club)

at first i thought it was funny but then it was just embarrassing.

then he really goes “you sure u don’t wanna come home w me? i could show u a good night”

i was DONE. i laughed & told him hes trying way too hard & said “ur doing all this for what? a little ego boost?” then told him im not interested and walked off, he looked SO mad but tried to act chill

Apparently he started talking bad about me, how I gave him false hope and stuff and my friends... apparently they think im the asshole now. theyre saying i was “too mean” and “he was just tryna impress me” and “he didnt even do anything that bad” like SORRY i didnt wanna entertain this dudes fragile ego???

I mean sure, if we happen to bond fk it why not but it was one sided the whole night...

now i feel like a bitch but also. no. i dont think i did anything wrong. if a guy cant take a hint thats not my fault
