Side hustles can be amazing, but let's talk about the struggle of keeping track of the money. I receive payments from five different sources—Venmo, PayPal, Stripe, and even cash. When tax season comes around, I realize I have no clue how much I earned or what I owe.

In the past, I would just ignore it and hope for the best, but that strategy failed when I received a much larger tax bill than anticipated. It felt like I was being penalized for earning extra income on my own terms.
