Should I stick with Investment?
I’ve been working in investment for 6 months, and I think it’s a great career but I don’t necessarily enjoy it, I think that I feel neutral toward it. What I would like to do is work as an academic or a researcher in a field I do like such as political science, but I don’t know if that transition is worth it. It seems to me that in order to make that transition financially viable I have to do something else before/beside academia. But the truth is I feel like the actual work in a field like politics and economics doesn’t differ significantly from my current work, e.g. writing reports and analyzing data. Is this just a case of grass is greener syndrome? To make matters more complicated I want to emigrate from Egypt to the west either by getting a scholarship or a job abroad. I’m a 24 year old male btw.
