Looking for the name of this game

So my friend is trying to make me guess the game she plays daily and gave me a few hints.

I am looking for the name of a game that released in 2005 and then released on new platforms in 2010 and 2016. The game is both singleplayer and multiplayer and it's quite famous. I don't know if the game is a lone standing game or if it's part of a franchise. I don't know which platforms it released on, just that it's out on multiple of them.

Can you help me out ?
