I think I cooked my graphics card when my laptop overheated. Is there a setting in game that could cause my ping to go from 20ms to 210ms and my FPS to drop to 5?

I was playing last night and watching the hockey game. I have an Asus tuf gaming A15 that I have two monitors plugged into.

It over heated and the displays shut off, I let it cool down and turned it back on but now I'm getting around 5 FPS when usually it runs around 45-60 and my ping is around 210-225ms when it usually sits around 20ms.

Am I going to be switching to Consol rust?
