Is it a good thing to be a golden retriever bf

I have only had two short term relationships. And currently both girls have described me as a golden retriever. I dunno why.

The newest girl that I am seeing said it is because I'm very happy go lucky, energetic and eager. I don't really vibe with the eager part but it is what it is.

I dont know why it just doesn't seem like a good thing. It feels like I am desperate and without boundaries.

I have seen on tiktok that this is the new thing. But it just sounds bad. Lol
