Advice for new TA

So I’m about to begin a new job next week as a Teaching Assistant at an SEN school (UK). I’m very much looking forward to it, but I do have some concerns of how I’ll adapt to this new environment as it’s the first time I’ve worked in education. I have all my necessary qualifications to do the job and I I feel I have the right skills to make a difference and to pupils education. My main queries are really on what to expect on my first day… will I just get thrown in the deep end and be expected to be great at the job immediately? How should I manoeuvre my presence around the classroom? Should I just engage straight away or be more open to listening and getting a good check on my environment first? What should my dress code be? I have so many more of the usual first day questions but if anyone’s able to help and give any advice that’d be much appreciated!
