How often do tours depart, and what are the departure times?

Hey fellow travelers! I recently had the most incredible experience on a Waikiki catamaran tour, and I wanted to share all the details about the schedule since I know this is one of the most common questions people ask.

From my experience, they run two tours daily - one at 8 AM and another at 11 AM. I personally went on the 11 AM tour (totally worth it because it includes lunch!), but both options are amazing for different reasons.

The 8 AM tour is perfect if you're an early bird like me. The ocean is usually calmer in the morning, and the lighting is absolutely gorgeous for photos. Plus, you'll still have most of your day free for other activities. This one includes some light snacks to keep you energized.

The 11 AM tour is my personal favorite though. Not only do you get to sleep in a bit, but they serve these amazing turkey pesto wraps (they've got vegetarian and gluten-free options too - just give them 48 hours notice). The afternoon light makes the water look incredibly blue, and I found the turtles to be super active around this time.

Both tours last about 3 hours, which I found to be the perfect duration - enough time to really enjoy the experience without getting too exhausted or sunburned. They leave from Kewalo Basin Harbor, and you can even get a hotel pickup if you're staying in Waikiki (just make sure to select that option when booking).

Speaking of booking, I used this link to reserve my spot and got a great deal: https://advenfy.com/Snorkel. The process was super smooth, and they have this awesome guarantee where if you don't see turtles, you get a free second cruise (though I saw plenty!).

Quick pro tip: During winter months (December-April), you might even catch some whale sightings as a bonus! Just remember it's weather-dependent, but they'll give you a full refund if they have to cancel.

Oh, and one last thing - don't worry if you're new to snorkeling. The crew is incredibly helpful (shoutout to their amazing team), and they provide all the equipment you need. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe in the water.

If you're planning to book, I'd recommend doing it soon as spots fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Trust me, it's one of those must-do activities in Waikiki that you won't regret!

Anyone else been on this tour? Would love to hear about your experiences in the comments!
