SCP Foundation: Stories work more when the horror is just weird, not murderous and unstoppable
For those who don't know, the SCP Foundation is a creepypasta horror community that tells really detailed short stories. They are written in a government article format complete with blotted our redacted info for drama. There are literally thousands of entries on the main website: the scpwiki.
The SCP stands for secure, contain, protect and special containment procedures. The series main organization is a Men In Black but for scary monsters group that protects humanity for anomalies and monsters
Any one can write for the website and most are fans of big kill machines. A lot of them have a habit of being an unkillable or barley containable monstrosity that feels lazy.
Stories that have weird vibe works more because it just means it shouldn't be there. The entry Class of 76 is a prime example of this doing it correctly.
I'll leave the entry hear for the initiated.

Here is an example of a murder monster, 096:

Granted it's a very early entry and an icon for the community, but that's the gist of it.
Anyone can write a murder monster. It takes real talent to just make a weird situation.
