In the year 2025, everyone at the cosplay convention understands one unspoken rule: Cosplay equals enthusiastic consent. However, this rule is more literal than its real-world counterpart. See, at these conventions, both parties must be costumed. Any effortless con-goers are unable to participate, preventing the swaths of sweaty nerds from participating. No, this convention caters to the creators, giving them enough space to engage with one another in shared excitement.

Most typically, costumed canoodlers will find themselves paired up with canon or fanon ships. The excitement of finding someone who matches your outfit perfectly to sneak off with is beyond thrilling, and allows for the most fun possible. This is no hard-and-fast rule, though. If a woman sporting a sexed-up anime character finds a Batman worth her time, there's nothing stopping such an encounter.

Yes, the most fun a person can have at these conventions is done behind closed doors. Up in the hotels up above, or in the bathrooms squirreled away. Snuck into a quiet corner of a VIP area, or under the table at a signing booth. Where will you find yourself this time, and with who?
