Week Ending 3/7/25 Market Sectors Visual / SPY

Advice

Revised chart headline to reflect that this chart is non-NBER. That brain-trust cries uncle on the Fed, and is the only recognized authority who calls the R-word. Unfortunately, the data is lagging as they meet, review data, and pass judgement. I developed this to assist in RT, my uncannily-accurate positioning for near-term trade decisions (64 closed, 100% wins since November), which are openly reviewable on kinfo. My returns top leaderboard WR for 3 months running.

I note that the rate of change for expansion/contraction has slowed, and this gives me hope for rebound positioning to be long on SPY 5/16 620 Calls (I hold, full disclosure). VIX has been a steady ramp up as opposed to a spike. That tells me the market has been pricing in Admin tariff talk for awhile, and we may be nearing a market reversal from the sustained grind down. Treasuries' fever appears to have broken, expect yield to increase if trend holds. Significant sectors to watch: Materials catching a bid could mean front running of supply to meet demand ahead of tariffs. Financials continuing to bleed cash outflows potentially funding inflows to Healthcare in a flight to safety. Energy may continue its trend reversal, steep slope there if not properly explained with context, could shock the market. I suspect this is a reinforcing signal for market recovery.

If there is something you see that warrants a call-out, please comment for the benefit of the sub.

Not Financial Advice, just my interpretation of relative trending observed. If this is something you'd like me to continue to post (thinking weekly), convey that with an up vote. Thanks!
