i can connect remote desktop with ip but not with username.

i can connect remote desktop with ip but not with username.I am not trying to access my computer "globally" I am just trying to connect to via its computer name when I am at home . It was all ok until yesterday night i got this error.I got this error before but at that time it solved just by closing remote desktop connection and relaunching it. It says the same thing as before "Remote desktop can't find the computer "name of my computer". This might mean that "name of my computer" does not belong to the specified network. Verify the computer name and domain that you are trying to connect to".
