An ancient curse hurts me

Ive seen most people say that slapsticks destroys relic bunbun or that mina or something can beat him. Problem is they take a relic catfruit and growing strange is impossible with level 40 cats unless i want to spend 60cf on continues on both the first stage and the cont stage. How do i beat growing strange before an ancient curse?
