The Calm Before the Red Storm - Chapter 1 "the unlock"

Meagan, a 21-year-old ferret malino, was walking across the icy mountains on her slender legs. She looked at her compass. She was headed exactly where she wanted to go. Meanwhile, Zoom and Elma were inside the cabin locked in dog cages, both in a terrible state of torture. They were both at different walls in the room, facing each other. Zoom in the far north and Elma in the far south of the room. They both looked at each other silently, breathing heavily as they sat in this humiliated position. Outside the room, Rinny was sitting on the couch, having just returned with new victims, most of them on the verge of death. She was watching clips of herself after she brutally tortured her victims as usual while eating popcorn. She didn't care about the smell of corpses, urine and feces that filled the cabin. She got so used to it that she loved it, even when she was eating.

Zoom and Elma begin trying to communicate with each other using sign language, which Zoom has spent months teaching Elma how to use since Rinny trapped them together. Although Elma is not the type who learns easily, she forced her mind to learn in order to get out of this hell.

He pushed the cage door open and got out, trying to ignore the pain as much as possible and heading towards the table where Rinny usually put her torture tools. He took a hammer, then ran behind the door and stood there, while Elma watched him, hoping that all their efforts would not go to waste like this... After nearly half an hour of waiting, Zoom finally put up with it. Rinny finally entered the room, and without giving her a chance to comprehend, he hit her on the head with the hammer. He kept doing this and hitting her on the head with all brutality, and blood was splattering on him, until he stopped himself before she died..Renee lay on the ground completely unconscious, in a state almost like death.

Later, after Elma and Zoom had chained Rinny inside a cage and gagged her, they treated each other's wounds and injuries. Zoom's skin was full of swellings and wounds, and he was even limping on his left leg and couldn't close his right fist properly, yet he remained composed and fine. Elma...even though she was on the verge of a mental breakdown, she still held herself together. Her wings were fine, badly damaged but she could still use them. Her left eye was also damaged.

When they finished treating each other, they got up and Zoom put on his clothes and jacket and Elma put on her cloak. They went to the kitchen and each of them started eating. Zoom took some cookies and milk from Renee's fridge and started eating them at the table while sitting, while Elma found some minced meat in the oven and took it out and started eating it while sitting on the floor next to the oven. They hadn't eaten anything healthy for months, all Rinny fed them was shit... the remains of some of her victims... disgusting things they endured just to stay alive. When Elma finished the minced meat, she took a bottle of beer from the table and started drinking it while Zuma started drinking milk after finishing the cake. They both finished their drinks at the same time and let out a grateful burp.

Then they both looked at each other silently before laughing cheerfully. They hadn't felt comfortable or ease since Rinny locked them up, finally they had something to laugh at even if it was silly.

They both finally got up and sighed.

Elma: "Okay... what now?"

Zoom: "To the wildness, honey.."
