Buying a GPU at MSRP is just a pipe dream these days
I know, I know this is the gazillionth time you’ve seen a post about the RX 9070 XT price this week, but I just want to share this info. The situation in a third-world country like mine is even worse, maybe due to excessive taxation, customs fees, or something like that. Even the Sapphire Pulse model starts at $797 (before VAT), a whopping $200 increase over $599, which is like five times the minimum monthly wage set by the government, assuming you don’t need to eat or pay bills for five months straight (which, as far as I know, is not humanly possible). I guess I’ll have to suffer with my 1650 SUPER for another year or more, and this 1650 SUPER isn’t even mine, my kind friend (bless him) lent me his unused GPU.
