I want a Degree Apprenticeship

I am in year 12 studying; Physics, Economics and Engineering. I want to get into the Finance industry more specifically Investment banking. I have some older peers that have just recently received their J.P Morgan Degree apprenticeship place. I want to know what I need to do separate myself from the rest, apart from getting top grades. I also want to know what universities large banks hire from and if the subjects I do will hold me back from the career path I want to pursue. I know that this is a lot of questions but I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice.
