Dealing with "Collab" requests...

Honestly super cynical about socials but hey there we are.

Have an account - basically for some presence and hopefully to drive some website traffic.

Fragrance & beauty products.

Lol never really get any useful messages or contact from IG. Mostly scammers and fraudsters.

Although requesting freebies for "Collab" isn't strictly a scam or fraud, lol the amount of requests I get is irksome.

They usually follow the same pattern and the accounts seem to work in a "swarm" formation ( that really see-through play the algorithm vibe "like and engagement post.. lol etc) .... And some are like stalkers! Like every post and comment "would love this/ Collab.." etc.

Lol initially, a few months ago,I made a post mentioning" We do not work with so call influencers". Don't think anyone reads, lol from that post I got Collab requests.... Uh?

What gives? Of course it's not my generations thing, but blimey, seems really "beg" as my niece says.

It's a good hustle I guess, getting freebies for "promotion and reviews"... Lol dunno just irks me. There seems to be no real interest bar acquiring freebies.

So I made a more recent post, lol again trying to say nicely, don't rudely request free stuff when I haven't a scooby who you are.. lol people don't read...
