Car engine just blew up, should i buy new, lightly used, really used, or spend $5000 repairing my 2014 mazda 6 with 290km on it? I make 60k(CAD) a year after tax, plus another 10k in a rsp/tfsa
Car just shit the bed, and I dont know what to do. Car market is fucked right now, and I need a way to get to work, groceries etc. Make 60k a year after tax, and each year for the next 4 years I will pretty much be making another 10k a year. So in 4 years will be making 100k after tax. I only started investing and saving last year, and have about 35k in a rsp, and about 5k between checking and savings account. I wanted to really start saving for a house, and then this happened. My rent is $500 a month, and then all other must need expenses like car insurance, food, and stuff comes to around another $500 or so. Should I buy a new car? Used? Fix my car? If buying a car, what car should I buy? Thanks
