Mass found on right ovary-should I be worried
28 yr old female- Saw OBGYN the other day and had a 5MM echogenic mass that looked calcified (according to doctor). They had a radiologist review the ultrasound and radiologist recommended a biopsy based on family history (both maternal grandmother and aunt were diagnosed with ovarian cancer young and paternal grandmother at 40). OBGYN doesn’t want to do a biopsy. I’m meeting with my primary care today and wondering if they can refer me based on this information to get a biopsy? If so, who should I be referred to? And is this something based on family history that I should be worried about?
Thank you!
