Looking for recommendations on small, starter road bikes that aren’t to expensive

I like bikes, but I’m not throng to pretend I’m more skilled than I am, I don’t have a lot of experience and I don’t want a super fast bike just more like a start, I have a Camaro I’m working on so that takes a lot of money and I LOVE old cafe racers though but those are expensive to buy and maintain or else I would already have one, which if it’s the same price, I might just go with one of those. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for just a basic maybe 300 or less cc bike that could get upto 55-70mph that’s relatively affordable? I know groms and a few others and what not but those are kinda ugly, other than that I’m still learning so any advice would be helpful
