Texas Inheritance dispute

Need recommendations on what to do. My good friend’s father passed away back in ‘22. In the will it states that she gets 1/3 of property and all of the possessions.

Finally she was mailed a check for almost 100k; however, the comps on the home were in the $500k range and it was paid off.

Plus there were vehicles, a horse and trailer, firearms and such. She doesn’t live in Texas so it’s hard for her to get any info since her sister hates her so much. Her sister lives in TX and her father lived in that state as well.

She had requested the information on how the money broke down but she isn’t getting any responses back.

In the certified letter it stated upon cashing this check the estate settlement is done in full. Or something along those lines.

The attorney who sent the check didn’t even work for the firm listed on her company letter head. It’s a mess and she needs help. I’ve tried to call some attorneys for her but they can’t do a zoom call until April and she is on the verge of being homeless now. She has autism and her sister is taking advantage of that fact. I have no gain in the matter, I just trying to help.
