Cannot talk to Minthara at Moonrise in Honor Mode

After telling Minthara to wait and killing the guards, I came back to her cell but the dialogue option is simply unavailable. I looked up this issue and found some old posts with no solutions which work in Honor Mode. I tried quiting out of the game, but that only made it so I cannot Ctrl alt delete out to go to a previous save. I also tried non-lethally attacking her and then long resting, but that did not work. Is there any solution that works? I feel like Larian should have patched out this game-breaking but by now. I do not want to restart my Honor mode run in which I have spent 20 hours.
