Eviction imminent - can we buy
TLR - Landlady selling giving us first refusal - really adverse credit - even worth trying?
I’ll try and be as succinct as possible, but my fiance and I with our two kids have lived at the most amazing house but landlady isn’t finding it profitable, wants to sell, we want to buy but our situation is bad I think. Want advice on whether it’s even worth hitting a broker and if so who to go to.
Fiance (m)
- £60,000 a year, stable employment
- has some missed payments and default, recently had a Monzo account closed due to overdraft (they are brutal with account closures)
- No ccjs
- one daughter from previous relationship
Me (f)
- Disabled and have been unemployed since 2023 due to health.
- looking to go back to full time work after an injury imminently
- without work - I receive £1580 in UC and £740 in PIP monthly
- a son that lives with me full time
- CCJ that I need to get removed as agreed by debtor on basis of non service (can be done in 2-4 weeks)
- defaults and missed payments from past two years
We have both used a DMP in the past year
Combined we have about 20,000 in debt.
Is it even worth trying or are we embarrassing ourselves by even attempting a broker?
We really love this house and moving while injured is not ideal at all.
