Tips for Timelapse

Thinking of shooting a sunrise timelapse tommrow and I was wondering if I should set the exposure setting to “fixed to first frame” or “auto”. I dont want the final product to show flickering and different exposures because of the auto exposure but I also dont want it to super over exposed or underexposed frames
