2 Movies I have been trying to find for years

searching

I'll give as much detail as possible and follow up with any questions.

Movie 1: I watched this movie a while ago, 5 years ago. That's not to say that's when it came out; even at the time of watching it, the movie felt quite dated. Be patient with me on this one, as its quite the ride.

So from what I vaguely remember, and to get this out of the way early as well, I was stoned watching this. But the movie, from what I remember, starts semi-normal with this one actor that's kind of down on his luck and has a bad job. I think a janitor and I don't remember if he was desperate to undergo a procedure or it was just something that occurred randomly. But he started experiencing side effects and getting sick overall not feeling good. Slowly but surely throughout the course of the film we see this guys start to experience a bunch of paranormal activity like powers or maybe aliens or something I have no idea, and he starts to get powers and the move just dials it up more and more every 5 mins to the point by the end of the movie he becomes god, and then eventually the universe? I swear I'm not insane; that's just what I remember. I'm not sure if it wanted to be taken seriously or was satirical, but I for sure had no idea what I had gotten into when I started watching it. By the end, I was in utter disbelief. Oh, for some reason I remember the main actor kind of reminding me of Chris Farley. not sure if that helps.

TL:DR some random guy does some stuff, and throughout the movie, we watch him turn into god, then the universe.

Movie 2: This movie has left me in shambles because I've been looking for it for over a decade It feels like nobody has ever heard of it, and I'm starting to doubt it even exists at this point.

So, for context, I watched this when I was quite young while traveling, and it was dubbed over at the time so I barely have any idea what they were talking about, but remember the visuals extremely well.

The movie takes place in the industrial revolution era of Great Britain, you know, where they used to work in factories and whatnot. So this one factory worker is this huge giant-like guy with a growth spurt, something that just makes him outrageously big and strong, and a lot of people of course, clown on him because of that. But like that was like a central point to the movie, of course he found a love interest that follows the cliche its not whats on the outside its on the inside. He started to gain popularity for being this freak, and his most famous demonstration of that was how he could force in a large nail into a large piece of wood with his bare hands. That was his gimmick, right? So the movie goes on some montages here and there, and suddenly he does it one day and ends up stabbing his leg with one of those nails and ends up dying not because of his genetic mutation thing but rather from the tetanus from the nail. That was actually one of the things they put emphasis on is that he started to look kind of normal as the sickness reduced his size.

It's just as equally bizarre of a movie. I couldn't agree more. Some details I have made not of over the years that I vaguely recall, there was a narrator, not sure if it was the wife or just a narrator. The wife reminded me, for some odd reason, of Kristen Stuart, but blond. That doesn't make much sense, truth be told, but maybe they look alike. Lastly, it felt like it was a sequence and almost dream-like or a memory from the movie "Big Fish." I haven't fully rewatched that movie, but I did skim through it with no luck.

TL;DR Large man with genetic mutation is super big and strong, works in a factory, is considered a freak and die trying to prove he isn't by slamming a large nail into a piece of wood accidently killing himself because he stabbed himself and the nail had tetanus.

I hope this helped and I gave enough detail, please help me. I have been looking for them for so long that at this point, I've considered hypnotherapy to just try and forget them.
