Should I sell my house?

I will be relocating to Texas for work this coming summer and will be there for at least two years. I plan to rent in Texas but I’m not sure what I want to do with my current home. I own it outright. I am contemplating keeping it so that I have a place to stay when I come back to visit and have the option be able to move back when I’m done with my work contract. I don’t really want to rent it out due to the work involved, the age of the home (70+ years), and the fact that I will be living over 700 miles away. I’d also probably have to fix up a few things. I live in a very desirable area and I know the home would sell quickly now but I may also be able to sell it for quite a bit more in the next couple years if I hang onto it. However, I am thinking the money I have in the home would be worth more in some kind of savings account. What would you do?
