Solid parses but lower than expected activity time

Rolling a mage. Happy with my parses but my activity seems kinda low, at like 80% on some fights. Anything that generally causes this? I remember seeing something about /stop Casting macros but it’s not in any of the mage guides. Any chance that is causing it?
