Day 1

PS: This is probably gonna be a bit of a fried brain dump

First day on my latest quitting escapade without a smoke and I’m feeling it. This is probably the fourth time I’ve tried to quit. I don’t have any left. I smoked to help myself disconnect after my stressful day job and to deal with my ptsd symptoms. I’m feeling like absolute crap.

I wanted to quit because my usage felt like a dirty secret. I smoked daily for about a year, and more sporadically for a good ten years prior.I felt myself getting antsy when my workday was nearly finished because it meant I could have a toke. My family and some friends are stoners (who I love a lot) so I feel like I’m surrounded by it.

I’m sick of my brain always feeling foggy and slow, and feeling as though my internal programming is off kilter. I want to be sharper and to actually be able to enjoy my life without being high. I don’t want to keep asking friends to hook me up with flower or keep interacting with dealers. I’m sick of weed putting strain on my relationships. I want to actually cope with and address my ptsd symptoms properly and stop masking them with a shit ton of thc

Right now my mood is super low and the only way I can describe how I’m feeling is dopamine drained. I have massive bags under my eyes and I can barely focus on anything. I’m getting antsy and irritable at every little thing. I keep getting migraines. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix the dopamine levels/receptors or just tips in general for how to deal with withdrawal?
