Help! I'm attempting to understand this thing!

Algebra

Hello everyone! I hope you can help me with this one!
I am getting ready for an exam, and was practicing on this exercize: I have to find relative max and min for 2x***^(4)-4x^(2)***-5.

As far as I understood, I have to use d/dx, obtaining 8x^(3)-8x → 8x(x^(2)-1).

I then tried to solve for x using x^(2)-1 ≻ 0 → x=+-1, using Fermat's theorem (? not sure on this one)

Then
f(0) = -5
f(1) = -7
f(-1) = -7

and intervals
(- inf; -1) (-1;0) (0;1) (1; +inf)

Is there any way this may be correct?

PS: I apologize for my English, this is the first time I am facing maths in this language. And my horrendous calligrapy. Please have mercy.
