Driving without a license 4 months ago, have since received license and court soon.

Hello, Reddit. Apologies if this post is not formatted correctly. I'm in the Maryland area, and sometime in October I had received a charge for driving without a license (as in I did not have one, feel free to judge I know I'm quite late on it 😅) on Fort Meade. Of course you don't just get pulled over for no reason, so there is a speeding charge as well. I've never been to court before, and while I feel like I should've received the notice ages ago, I received it in the mail about last week, and I now have court on Friday. I have already received a demotion under UCMJ, and unsure if there is any way possible that I could get a next-day attorney? Have been figuring out means of defending self in the case that I am unable to.

Should I plead guilty? I know that driving unlicensed is immediate 10+ points and grounds for revocation, since then I have gone through all schooling/requirements to gain license for work, as I work off-base. Is there a way to offer a reason on why I would need a license / why I should keep it? So sorry, I am highly unfamiliar with court and trying my best to familiarize myself in the process the best I can. Resources would also be highly appreciated if possible. Thanks.
