Looking for autism-related resources in Eugene for adults
I'm in my 30s and was recently diagnosed with Level 1 Autism (formerly known as Asperger's), though I suspected it for years. I'm looking for resources, either in Eugene or online, that could help with social skills, employability, and parenting.
Some additional barriers to employment are that I can't drive (have my license, but no spatial awareness and slower reaction time), live in far South Eugene, and I lack childcare. I reached out to WorkSource about a year ago, followed all their recommendations, attended every meeting, and contacted everyone they suggested. While I was able to get my autism diagnosis through them, which was helpful, I was ultimately told (by various resources) that because I'm considered too high functioning and my household income is too high, they couldn't provide further assistance.
I'm really at a loss for what to do next. If anyone knows of resources that might help, I'd really appreciate it!
