Hi! NGD has already happened, so now I’d like to show off some small modifications I’ve made to my guitar, including recommended parts that I’ve been testing for the past six months in another guitar.

All the bridge modifications come from the manufacturer Musiclily. Yes, they are Chinese parts, but I was really surprised by their quality in relation to the price—everything (saddles, sustain block, bridge mounting screws) cost me less than $100.

I installed a brass block in the guitar, which slightly improves sustain and warms up the instrument’s tone. The difference is subtle and probably insignificant for many, but the brass block alone weighs almost as much as the stock bridge assembly with saddles, block, and screws.

Next, I added brass bridge saddles, which also warm up the instrument’s tone. Here, the difference is more noticeable—on Tremonti USA pickups, the guitar sounds completely different, with more midrange and low-end presence, yet without any muddiness in the tone.

The last modification affecting the instrument’s usability was replacing the bridge screws. In my guitar, these screws were extremely worn out, causing tuning instability when using the whammy bar. After replacing them, the problem disappeared.

All these parts fit as plug & play and are well-made. There are slight differences in the thread sizes for the saddles and the screws securing the bridge to the guitar body, but these differences are minimal.

I also ordered Chinese control knobs modeled after those from higher-end/newer models, as well as a metal switch tip.

Finally, I installed Tremonti S pickups, which I took from another PRS that now has Tremonti USA pickups.
