My false knight has infinite phases

IDK it worked for ages but now whenever I do false knight in the hall of gods he just has infinite phases. I can knock him down and beat up the maggot as much as I want but it wont die. This doesn't happen in pantheons, however it does happen across multiple save files. This only happens on ascended and radiant false knight though
