What peaceful house spiders eat gnats?

This may be really stupid but I live on the coast in SC and every time it gets above 70 degrees the past year there have been gnats EVERYWHERE in my apartment. I clean religiously and have set gnat traps in every room but they are so prevalent. I was thinking of introducing a couple of nice house spiders into my home in the hopes that they could help me, since I have recently developed a deep respect and love for spiders. Do you think this might work? What spiders would I get to live with me?
