Do you guys really use a lot of your computer's RAM?

There's a phrase I heard a lot when learning how to build PCs, "Unused RAM is wasted RAM", I have 16gb of RAM and I rarely find myself surpassing 8gb, (maybe if I'm playing a game but I don't check my specs while gaming, I should next time)

If you use a lot of your RAM, what are you doing and/or what do you have like 30 tabs on the internet?
