Hudson Yards - Shower Flies

Has anyone else noticed the tiny little black flies that sit on the walls of the showers at the Hudson Yards locations? This week the shower I got in had one that was still alive and two squished ones on the little shelf with the shaving cream. I have been noticing them for at least a year now.

Anyone know what they are or where they come from? More importantly, why they are not addressing it?

They are seemingly harmless but I see them at least 50% of the time and it just feels VERY low end for what we pay for membership.
