So Jokic this season is shooting 43% from three which still ranks 9th in the NBA and is absurd for a center, but he has also taken 18 heaves which are shots beyond 40 feet classified by basketball reference and they have lowered his percentage. Players oftentimes avoid doing because they don't want to lower their stats. For example the player above him in 3P% with the most heaves is Ty Jerome who has taken 2 heaves compared to Jokic's 18. If you exclude all of Jokic's 18 heaves he would be the league leader in 3P% at 45.7% compared to his current 43%.
