is it worth it to try oxys

my friend just got his tonsils removed and got prescribed oxys and is willing to give me some ive never done opiates before only smoked weed and done dxm i dont think i will get addicted because i dont have any plugs with anything other then weed i just wanna try them for the experience is this a bad idea?
