My hair keeps breaking no matter what I do, heeeelp

I have been taking so much better care of my hair but it’s never been worse. I use a neutral shampoo, I mostly braid my hair(I heard that’s the most breakage friendly hairstyle) I don’t use a lot of heat, I have dyed my hair once for the first time 1,5 years ago, I brush from the bottom up, but still it keeps breaking.

I lose hair everywhere, I get a ton of split ends right after cutting it, and my hair has never been thinner. I do have a scalp picking problem, but I did before too so that can’t be it. What am I doing wrong??
