Devil Docs?
Guidance
Not sure where to ask but jus looking for some input. I’ve pretty much posted this before in another group but didn’t get much interaction so here I am. Also for those that don’t know the MCAT is basically the asvab for med school.
Background - I’m an active duty Sgt and will be transiting out of the military I’m pretty sure, but as it stands now I have about 2 years left on contract. I am about to obtain my bachelors degree in food science and technology.
I know I don’t have the traditional pathway for going into medicine but I do have the desire to try. What’s advice if any could anyone give on where to start? Any devils out there that have succeeded? I’m not stationed on a major installation so my interaction with the education center is limited.
I am aware the military has plenty of programs where they will theoretically pay for med school but staying active duty is no longer an option for me it seems based on all the changes being pushed out by this new administration…
My degree I did all online so exposure to a classroom environment isn’t something I’ve experienced since high school and because of that I would prefer to start from scratch learning material. I wouldn’t trade my experiences in the Marine Corps for anything, but I will admit I feel behind. Everyone seems to just study on their own and though I believe in my capabilities to do exactly that it would be nice to maybe have courses or something. Anything advice would help thanks
