Meekatharra, is it that bad?

Im moving to meeka for a couple of months to work at Auski hotel! I read that is probably the worst place in Australia to work but I heard the same about Darwin and stayed there for months.. is it even more insecure? Im going because i can save money since they give free accomodation and food + salary.. lets see how much i can handle there
