best credit card for a student?

i recently just turned 18 and i’m starting community college in the fall. i would like a student card but i’m a bit worried that they may have guidelines that won’t qualify me since i’m only going to be going one semester. I’ve taken personal finance classes and i’m starting back at my seasonal job in april, and it lasts until december. my goal is to get a decent credit score that will lessen a car note, because recently my car is becoming unreliable and i need to build my credit for when i will eventually need to get a new one. i have suspicions it may not last another two years. i bank with a local bank, and don’t have any accounts with any bigger banks like chase. i just need a simple one to use for like gas and occasionally food etc. i also have no credit history and a clean slate financially.
