Returnal opaque fog issue

Has anyone found a fix for the opaque fog in Returnal? The Claw 8 ai+ runs this game so well, but it's kind of unplayable since you can't see through the fog half the time. I don't have this problem on my PC (nvidia card) or my ROG Ally X, but it runs horribly on the Ally X compared to the Claw.
