Rep. Lawler "Responds" to Constituent Concerns

Politics

I used to live in the District of Columbia before moving to Rockland County, and after years lacking Congressional representation, I have been active in communicating with Rep. Lawler and our two Senators.

I've specifically asked his office for a letter, signed by his hand, to explain:

  • to the citizens of Rockland County why he is attacking transgender children who just want to participate in enrichment activities at school; and
  • to explain to the citizens of New York what he is going to do to protect the power of the Congress to control Federal funding from felon/President Trump.

For these two issues, I did receive two letters, pictured below. This is an embarrassment to our district. Rockland deserves better.

In the District of Columbia, I was represented by Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, a non-voting member of the House of Representatives. Even without a vote, she put in far more effort than this nonsense.

tl;dr: Representative Lawler doesn't care at all about what we the people, his constituents, think about what he is doing.

\"They're the same [letter].\"
