Coping with Boredom and lack of clear aspirations.

Questions/Advice

Hey guys, Ive been learning more about my ADHD and really focusing on behavioral aspects of it as well as the different emotions I feel etc.

I'm mostly just looking for advice on how to cope with career boredom and lack of aspirations. I've done a lot of job jumping but I've been able to work in the same industry for about 14 years now. I've done just about everything in the restaurant industry from dishwasher to chef, to general managing and I've now stuck with bartending.

That being said Im almost 30 and I have a lot of friends that have much more flourishing careers, houses, and are planning on starting families and for the most part I'm usually stoked on just being a bartender/starving artist and spending the little extra money I have travelling with my wife but some times I get really stuck on the envy of others and no matter how many times I tell myself I have a good life and everything is great I end up being super impulsive and applying for new jobs with higher income, etc. I usually talk myself out of it but the week or 2 that I'm fixated absolutely sucks.

Even with my art I always experience such a great high when I first get started then crash terribly from boredom and stress (mostly stress I put on myself).

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to cope with this kind of thing.

Thanks for reading.
