Migraine frequency has increased
I have dealt with migraines for as long as I can remember, dating back to when I was around 8-9 years old. I used to get a migraine two or 3 times a month at least. As time passed, the frequency became less and less. Fast forward, to specifically in the last 3-4 months, I have had a migraine at least once a week and sometimes 2-3 times a week. I can attribute them in my earlier years to probably a poor diet, lack of proper hydration, or something along those lines. Now, I’ve cleaned up my diet almost completely and make sure I’m hydrated everyday. I do have two kids that are 5 and 1, so my sleep has suffered some and I definitely think that has contributed to the increase in migraines. However, some days I feel like I get enough sleep and I’m doing everything right and I still get a migraine. The only thing that comes close to helping is taking 4-6 ibuprofen. My PCP had me try sumatriptan which did absolutely nothing. She switched me to rizatriptan which I’ve tried twice now and it is useless also. Does anybody have any suggestions? This is starting to get ridiculous. Thank you in advance!
