ROG Ally X for Retro Gaming on a CRT Monitor?

I'm wondering if I could use my Ally X to play PS2 games on my Sony Trinitron Multiscan 17SF II if I get a dock and VGA-HDMI adaptor.

My two biggest questions would be:

1. Is the ROG Ally X strong enough for PS2 emulation
2. Can it output a 480i signal? (The PS2's original output) This is probably more of a "Will Windows detect the monitor correctly and allow that output" question.
