Venmo stole $400 from me

Discussion

I was using my card as normal on Valentine’s Day, and then woke up to an email saying that they think they detected fraud and froze my account, and asked me to verify my identity, which I did, and was willing to provide more. And then got an email immediately after saying they were permanently deactivating my account, and any thing I reply in response will be ignored and that they’re holding my money for 180 days for loss prevention purposes. Every single chat/phone call has all of the employees telling me that they cannot do anything to help, and there’s absolutely no reversal after the account specialists decision. I’m at such a loss, I’m disabled and $400 is a lot to lose for me rn.. so be warned that they can just take ur money whenever they want ig
